Forskningsnettet

At a recent Management Committee meeting, it was decided that the Danish Research Network,  Forskningsnettet, should change its focus from
delivering services related to infrastructure, connectivity and content, to delivering exclusively services related to infrastructure and
connectivity. The research network will no longer deal with content-related services in the future.

PRESS RELEASE: The Pan-European research and collaboration capabilities have been extended by the launch of the third generation of the GÉANT project. National research and education networks interconnect with the GÉANT network to enable faster and closer collaboration for 40 million users. Forskningsnettet delivers the Danish connection.

Forskningsnettet offers a new lightpath service after having upgraded to the new optical network. A lightpath can typically be used for regular exchange of large amounts of data.

The 25th NORDUnet conference will be held in Copenhagen on the 16th - 18th September 2009.
