Journal Learning & Media

Web-based presentation, learning and cooperation

Læring & Medier (LOM) is a web-based, electronic journal on the use of IT and digital medias for presentation, learning, competence development and cooperation.

The journal addresses teachers, research disseminators, developers of eLearning as well as policy-makers in charge of education, learning, competence development and cooperation within higher education.

Læring & Medier is published twice a year and is exclusively accessible online.

Læring & Medier is a forum for the exchange of experience related to the use of presentation, eLearning and web-based cooperation – looking at international trends and research that can support a quality development within the Danish and Scandinavian educational institutions.

The journal publishes both articles with a practical content (descriptions of practical experience or articles that put in relation theory and praxis) and articles of a theoretical nature (focus on eLearning-theory, pedagogy and didactics.

The journal welcomes traditional academic articles as well as shorter texts or alternative forms of publications (video, audio or multimedia productions). Every contribution is reviewed by a Scandinavian panel of professionals. Short comments, reviews or summaries and the like can also be published.

The journal, published since 2008 by Forskningsnettet [the Danish Research and Education Network] in relationship with their LOM-network, is the continuation of Tidsskrift for Universiteternes Efter- og Videreuddannelse [Journal of University Professional Training within Higher Education] which was published between 2003 and 2007 by UNEV [University Professional Training within Higher Education]. The former issues are still accessible under the old name, but they can also be read on the Læring & Medier website.
